How to read these comparisons
Archiving tools are usually described as "supporting" a list of formats, which hides the important question: can the tool create that format, or only read it? A tool that can only extract RAR archives is very different from one that can also create them.
These pages separate create, open, extract, encrypt and split capabilities explicitly. Where a value is "Yes", the vendor's official documentation states it. Where it is "No", the documentation states the capability is absent. Where it is "Not verified", it could not be confirmed — which is not the same as saying the capability is missing.
