Split Archives in ZipGood
Short answer: ZipGood can create split volumes for 7z and ZIP archives, and joins split archives such as .7z.001, .z01 and .part1.rar automatically when you extract the first volume.
Creating split volumes
Split volumes are configured in the per-format options panel. Choose 7z or ZIP, enable split volumes, and set the volume size that fits your mail, upload or storage limit.
Joining split archives automatically
When you extract a split archive, open the first volume only — for example .7z.001, .z01 or .part1.rar. ZipGood joins the remaining volumes automatically.
Split archive naming conventions
- 7z: .7z.001, .7z.002, .7z.003 …
- ZIP: .z01, .z02, plus a .zip file for the last volume
- RAR: .part1.rar, .part2.rar … or .rar followed by .r00, .r01
